Born in Morrison Il. July 3^rd, 1951 migrated to California 1964.

Drafted Nov. 18^th, 1969, and inducted into the U.S. Navy Jan 1970. After basic training was assigned to the USS McKean (DD784) in 1970.

Served 3 years as a bos’n mate with 2 tours in Viet Nam Tonkin gulf gunfire support, one which was deployed in task force 74 in the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971 to evacuate American Nationals.

In Jan 1973 was transferred to Yokosuka Japan to tug float where was Honorably Discharged in Dec 1974.
