Burial and Internment Services

The loss of a loved one is never an easy time. At VFW Post 2485 we try to make the process of burial/internment as trouble-free as possible for the loved ones involved.

Information effective:

All information is dated as of November 15, 2017 and will remain effective until superceded.

Authority

The current agreement with the Clark Development Corporation (CDC) limits burial strictly to Veterans of U.S. military service and Philippine Scouts. These both require approval of the CDC.

Scheduling of service

Full body burials and service can be conducted Tuesday through Friday. Cremation burials and service can be conducted Monday through Friday.   Clark Development Corporation (CDC) requires at least 3 business days for processing of burial requests. American and Philippine holidays may impact scheduling date requests.

The proper location and identification for the Cemetery is:

                Clark Veterans Cemetery at CDC in Angeles City.

All submitted documents require you to enter the above location information exactly.

 Off-site services

Grave site services can be conducted locally at locations other than Clark Veterans Cemetery, pending availability of personnel.

Required documents

At the minimum, you are required to furnish:


I.   For Internment (Cremation services):

1. A clear copy of the Military Separation DD 214 with Honorable, or a Philippine Scouts Discharge Certificate, or prior to 1955 a Discharge Certificate. 

2. From City Hall the following:   

      a. True attest copy of the original register Death Certificate.

      b. Cremation Permit from City Hall.         

      c. Transfer Permit from outside Angeles City proper from the City Hall registering  the Death Certificate (if required).

3.  From the Crematory a Cremation Certificate with the permit voucher number. 


II.   For Interment (Casket burials):

1. A clear copy of the Military Separation DD 214 with Honorable, or a Philippine Scouts Discharge Certificate, or prior to 1955 a Discharge Certificate .

2. From City Hall the following: 

a. True attest copy of the original Register Death Certificate. 

      b. Burial Permit from City Hall.

      c. Transfer Permit from outside Angeles City proper from the City Hall registering           the Death Certificate (if required).


III.   In either case, additionally:

1. The family must submit all required documents with an estimate date for burial to the Clark Veterans Cemetery superintendent or his/her secretary at the Administration Office, Gate 2 of the Cemetery.

 2.. Once the American Battle Monuments Commission & Clark Development Corporation approves the submitted paperwork, the Clark Veterans Cemetery superintendent will accept the date the family requested for burial or provide an alternate burial date.

3. Incoming requests for burials from outside the Philippines  need to be coordinated with the Burial Consultant for required  documents.

Times and sequences

Grave site services are conducted promptly an 10:00 A.M. on the date scheduled. It is the responsibility of the family to insure on-time arrival of the deceased, guests, and other parties by 9:30 A.M.  Most local Funeral Homes are aware of this requirement and are generally cooperative. Some flexibility exists to scheduling, as needed.   The local VFW Post 2485, or other Veterans organizations, will conduct the graveside service commencing at 10:00 A.M. Other speakers or clergy may, at the families option, speak following the military graveside honors.

Service Fees

Full body burials     12,000 pesos 

Cremation Burials    3,000 pesos


We will provide you a receipt for possible V.A. reimbursement.
