Sal Valdez
Jr. Vice Commander - Navy
Sal L Valdez, was born and raised in West Texas, and enlisted into the
U.S. Navy in 1983 just after he graduated from San Angelo Central High school at the age of 17.
He has served on 5 combatant US Navy ships during his 20 year in service within the sea service.
Being deployed 3 times to the Western Pacific along with multiple deployment to the
Arabian Gulf where he participated in multiple small-boat boardings to enforce UN Maritime regulations and to mitigate illegal weapon shipments. One of his tours includes
deployment in hostile waters during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Stormand provided crucial logistics to support to coalition forces.Salvador L Valdez retired from the Navy in 2004
